Originally from Victoria (growing up a passionate Richmond supporter), I have been somewhat of a gypsy since, with over 30 years of experience, having taught in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, New Zealand, New South Wales and South Australia before moving to Tasmania at the beginning of 2018. Education is a big part of my family, as my wife is also a teacher at Hilliard Christian School, and one of my three children is a Mathematics teacher in Melbourne. My interests in education include Mathematics education (holding a Masters degree from the University of Auckland), and the pedagogue associated with learning, especially within the context of Christian education.

Outside of school, I am involved in my church, often using my teaching skills to lead out in Sabbath School lessons. My hobbies include reading, sport and enjoying the wonders of God’s creation here in Tasmania.
